An exploration in droppinScience identity. I'm thinking about animating this as an intro to my demo reel, or any crap I might post on YouTube. It makes a pretty sweet wallpaper, download and give it a try. If anyone is really into it, send me a note and I'll render out to your monitor size.

I've been an experience designer for the past 8 years in the web and mobile spaces. I enjoy creating visual systems that solve complex problems, and believe that interaction must be accompanied by a stong visual to achieve great design.
6.11.09: AS3 is not for designers
I've been dreading the switch to AS3 for a while now, and today I found that it's with good reason. I ended up writing over 30 lines of code to accomplish the AS2 equivalent of:
on (release) {
gotoandplay();
}
Theres more to the story, but thats the jist of it. I'm not feeling AS3, might be time to focus my efforts elsewhere.
3.31.09: Shoes on the side of the road
I do a fair amount of driving and have noticed an abundance of shoes on the side of the road, particularily on freeway medians. How does one lose a shoe while driving? I'd love to hear some theories...
2.18.09: Register.com YOU SUCK!
I've had the same domain name therectangle.com for the past 7 years with register.com. They have been renewing my domain automatically, except for this year, where they let it expire, parked it, and offered to sell it back to me. So, register.com, you suck! No big wup, I was over the whole rectangle thing anyways. Now it's all about dropping science!
2.17.09: Sorry IE Users
I've spent so much time in my day-to-day work fixing issues related to Internet Explorer that I decided to not hack this site to make it IE compliant. All PC users should download Firefox and join the cause until IE gets back on track.
Here's a few previous versions of my site -- thought these would be fun to share. I decided to go with an html site since these sites were cumbersome to update, epecially after not looking at them for several months. There's a bunch of old work in here as well, so enjoy!
